Allen-Bradley 1771-RIO
The Allen-Bradley 1771-RIO is a discontinued Remote I/O (RIO) Interface Card designed for use with the 1771 Series I/O system. This module enables communication between a PLC processor and remote I/O chassis, supporting distributed control architectures in legacy Allen-Bradley systems. Operating as a Class 2 device, the 1771-RIO requires a 5 VDC power supply and draws 1 Amp of current. Ideal for connecting remote racks to a central controller over a single-channel RIO link, this module provided reliable data transfer in large-scale industrial environments prior to its discontinuation in October 2016.
