The Allen-Bradley 1785-L40L is a Standard Processor module from the PLC-5/40L series designed for flexible and reliable control in industrial automation. It features 48K words of battery-backed SRAM with optional EEPROM program backup, providing enhanced data protection. Supporting up to 2,048 total I/O points, this module offers robust performance with fast scan times—0.5 ms per rack for extended local I/O and up to 3 ms per rack for remote I/O. With compatibility for up to 61 I/O chassis, including 16 extended local and 32 universal remote per I/O link, the 1785-L40L includes a serial communication port and a control coprocessor expansion port to enhance connectivity and expandability in complex systems.
