The Allen-Bradley 1785-L80C15 is a high-capacity ControlNet-enabled processor from the PLC-5/80C family, designed for distributed control in advanced industrial automation systems. Equipped with 100K words of battery-backed static RAM, this processor supports up to 30,720 forcible I/O points or up to 50,176 nonforcible I/O points, making it ideal for complex I/O-heavy applications. The 1785-L80C15 provides fast I/O scan rates, averaging 0.5 milliseconds over ControlNet and supporting universal remote I/O at various baud rates. It includes one RS-232-C/422-A/423-A port, and features a control coprocessor expansion port for added system flexibility. This module supports up to 125 I/O chassis and is purpose-built for scalable, high-performance environments.
